INFLECTED / INFLECTIONAL FORMS

A language may change the form of a word in order to change its use in a particular type of context.  For example I and me are the same word, but if the form I is used the reader assumes that the word is the subject of the sentence.

Examples

I am Dan
I teach Greek
Mommy, David hit me.
Karen married me.
I was married to Karen on August 14, 1971.

We know how the word I/me functions in a sentence by the form that was chosen.
