1. Jesus said that the poor widow gave all she had. Do some creative speculating. What happened to the poor widow? Did she go home and starve to death?
2. Certain Greeks wanted to see Jesus. Why did they want to see Jesus, and whom did they ask to intercede for them?
3. What was the meaning of Jesus’ reply ( p. 613, v. 23), “The hour is come that the Son of man should be glorified”? 4. v. 27, p. 614 Why was Jesus troubled?
5. v. 31, p. 615 Jesus said, “. . . now shall the prince of this world be cast out.” What did he mean ?
6. p. 616 Who is “the Son of man.” Answer as fully as possible.
7. Describe some features of the temple in Jerusalem that made it so remarkable.
8. Jesus predicts the coming destruction of the temple. p. 620 List four signs which will precede this destruction.
9. p. 623b “And many false prophets shall arise.” Cite and quote three N. T. scriptures which tell of these false prophets, or false teachers.
10. p. 625 What information about the siege and destruction of Jerusalem is provided by Josephus?
11. pp. 629-634 Write down a list of signs and happenings that will precede or accompany the second coming of Christ. For example: “then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn.”
12. pp. 629-634 Compile a list of instructions given on how to respond or behave when the second coming is near. For example: “But take heed to yourselves . . . .”
13. What lessons are taught in the parable of the ten virgins? OR— in the parable of the talents?
