E. A. Wallis Budge

Dr. Budge was the purchasing agent and keeper of the Egyptian and Assyrian antiquities of the British Museum. His main interest was in Egyptology. Since the copyright on his books has expired, they are often reproduced at extremely low prices. The quality of his scholarship is questionable, but the art work supplied in his books is worthwhile.

Where possible we will provide the bibliographic material for the book, a thumbnail of the picture, and a high quality scan. The high quality images will usually be 1280 pixels wide, but the height will be left to the proportions of the original picture.

The procedure for naming the pictures is as follows:

BUDGEXX-YYYY-Z-(s)

BUDGE = Obviously the author of the book.
X = Our arbitrary number for the book.
YYYY = The page number in the book.
Z = The position on the page, if more than one picture is on the page. The designations start at the top and move left to right and top to bottom.
(s) = thumbnail

Please notice that the copyright has expired on all works listed. Our scans of the books are not from reprints, but originals from the CBC&S and HUC libraries. The information provided is from the original title pages.
